Srùpag – Gaelic Conversation Mornings at Brora Heritage Centre
Whether you’re a fluent Gaelic speaker, currently learning, or simply looking to regain confidence using the language, Srùpag offers a relaxed and welcoming place to chat over a cup of tea or coffee.
Hosted at Brora Heritage Centre, these informal conversation mornings are open to Gaelic speakers of all abilities. There is no pressure and no classroom atmosphere – just friendly conversation, encouragement and the opportunity to enjoy using Gaelic with others in the community.
The word Srùpag refers to a cup of tea or coffee, making it the perfect name for a sociable gathering where language, friendship and Highland culture come together.
Everyone is Welcome
If your Gaelic is a little rusty, don’t worry. Srùpag is designed to be a supportive environment where learners and fluent speakers can meet, practise together and build confidence naturally through conversation.
Whether you’ve been speaking Gaelic for years or are returning to the language after a break, you’ll receive a warm welcome.
2026 Meeting Dates
Srùpag takes place on selected Saturdays from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm at Brora Heritage Centre, Old Clyne School, Victoria Road, Brora.
